Scheduling an Eye Exam at I-Care Optical
When scheduling an eye exam at I-Care Optical, you can feel confident that you will receive the highest quality care in a warm, friendly environment. Our experienced eye doctor Dr. Neil Patel uses advanced diagnostic technology to detect a wide range of issues such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, retinal damage, and more.
Before scheduling an eye exam with us, here are a few important things you should know:
iWellness Exam
- During your visit, our eye doctor will use digital retinal imaging and optical coherence tomography to take a detailed image of your retina, the layer of tissue located at the back of your eye.
- This digital image will help our eye doctor evaluate your eye health and effectively monitor for any vision-threatening issues.
- This iWellness exam costs only $39 and is not covered by medical or vision insurance. We’ll add the charge to the balance of your visit.
What are the benefits of digital retinal imaging?
Digital retinal imaging allows Dr. Patel to get a much closer look at your retina than ever before. With digital retinal imaging, our eye doctor can detect the earliest signs of eye diseases such as macular degeneration, glaucoma, and diabetic retinopathy. This allows him to start treatment early, which can prevent further damage and preserve your vision.
Another advantage of digital retinal imaging is that it provides an extensive record of your eye health. With each visit, our eye doctor can compare your digital retinal images to previous ones and track any changes in your eyes. This helps us identify any potential issues early on and take quick action.
Cancellation/No Show Policy
Please let us know at least 24 hours in advance if you are unable to make your scheduled appointment. If you cancel within 24 hours or do not show up for your appointment, there will be a $50.00 fee that must be paid before your next visit to our office.
